Addy re-signing is a useful contribution as he can play in a few positions and is definitely good enough to shine in the championship. Not sure what his best position is. His defence isn’t great as the stats show but he’s got more skills than the average forward. I always thought he should’ve tried to become a hooker but I think O’Brien has that sewn up. He did ok operating as a prop yesterday considering he was much smaller than the opposition.
He’s too weak defensively to play regularly in the backrow at SL level in my opinion. If you were an opposition coach you’d send plenty of traffic his way. Our worst defenders are Addy, Gale and Henry with Olbison not far off. All are in the top 20 for missed tackles in SL. This is an area Lowes will know he needs to sort out.
