Perhaps Eddie you will join me in pledging to give the readers of the board a break on McBanana until 10 games into the season when we can assess him in a more objective light? We can do a poll and everything, which means a new thread will be needed

I will be judgeing Mac on these criterias:

- Any improvement of players deemed to have fallen off the wagon in 2008 (Nero, Solomosa, Jeffres, Godwin etc etc)
- Quality of our new signings
- Addressing problems in our game of 2008: defence, fitness, discipline
- Any other problems & good things arising
- Progress of young players
- Media interaction - how many times he blames the ref, bad luck, other teams cheating, injuries etc etc

do you think it will this be Steve's last season if you don't get to the final of the challenge cup or the super league, the club has been patient but being without success for the few years doubts must be setting in, I still think he's got to prove him self
