City Supporters Trust would rather see us share with them down at VP. They are loking at getting the council to buy VP off Gibb and then persuade Bulls and City fans to club together to buy VP off the Council so it becomes owned by a kind of fans trust.

Sounds like an ideal solution for City as they get to stay at their spiritual home, get out of any costly rental agreement with Gibb and become masters of their own destiny at VP (to a point).

They do not see the point of a stadium at Odsal when one exists at VP and point to the cost that would be incurred by the council to build the OSV and knock down VP.

While OSV remains a possibility this idea is unlikely to get much support from Bulls supporters.

From the looks of the messageboards I've seen, there's a significant section of City's support prepared to contemplate life away from VP. And many that are anti-Odsal seem to think it would be in the same state as it was the last time they were there.

The BCFC Supporters Trust don't speak for the majority though.

From speaking to people about this issue I'd say the majority would rather have nothing to do with the inept council or the Bulls.

Do you speak for the majority then?

If the majority of City fans really do think as you say then fine.

I get the impression City fans see themself as an Aire Valley side and so have more in common with the Cougars than they do with us.

I think membership of the BCST is barely into three figures.

They are obsessed with the whole trust thing and getting the club to be supporter run with close ties to the local authority, which is the agenda they have pushed from the start.

Obviously I can't speak for the majority, but just the people I sit near at VP and my City supporting friends and just about all of them are of the opinion I offered, we all go for the sport you see and spend pre-match and half-time discussing things, rather than gawping at cheerleaders or men walking round the pitch on stilts

The over-riding view from the meeting that was held in the Bantams Past museum last week was that City fans would only accept a move from VP if it was the club's only option to ensure survival, and after all the whining last time it is hardly a surprise that the Bulls would not be welcomed back at VP with open arms by the majority of the supporters though obviously the directors feel differently on that one.

Additionally, I don't think you can really blame anyone for not wanting to have anything to do with Bradford Council unless they really have to!

Same applies to Bulls fans I reckon. As such I think any joint venture is unlikely while OSV remains on the table.

If OSV doesn't happen the Bulls could well have to go to VP cap in hand or face extinction. Unless I'm much mistaken Odsal is pretty unsustainable for the club in the current financial climate.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

Latest info I've received on the OSV

£15 million has been set aside for the Odsal Village Project. They won’t even know the start date until September this year!

Looking more positive if this is correct and its from a sound source

McNamara looks to take bull by the horns in Perpignan encore

They do not have a substantial financial backer and the upkeep of Odsal will remain a horrendous drain on the club's resources unless the Bulls receive the backing they need for a major redevelopment.

In that regard the chairman, Peter Hood, will hope that Sunday's latest defeat contained at least one silver lining. Gerry Sutcliffe, the sports minister and their local MP, attended the game and Hood stressed in his programme notes to both him and the local council the benefits that the city of Hull has enjoyed from the sporting revival driven by the development of the KC Stadium.

If the Bulls are to regain the momentum that made them the most upbeat club in the early years of the Super League, they need similar levels of civic support – making the findings of a feasibility study that is nearing completion as important to them as Saturday's trip to Perpignan is for McNamara.
