I'm pretty sure he has a union back ground already so I'm not overly surprised. I personally think he has been our best winger for sometime, not a world beater but still been pretty decent.

Sad to see him go but happier with the likes of O'brian and hopefully Donno and Addy plus others resigning to be honest.

MARK OFFERDAHL confirmed on bulls website on a 1 year deal , another big prop and good news. Would of rather kept kear than foster unless jimmy wants another goal kicking as were still unsure of gaskells half partner

If Foster has a good tackling centre with him I would be reasonably happy to keep him. Like most of the players, I am interested in how Jimmy improves them.

Did Tahraoui play at Swinton for a bit? If he did and he's the bloke that I'm thinking off he's an exciting signing. Big, strong, athletic prop.

he did last season been playing for us this season, first 8 games he was outstanding a beast of prop, got injured and since coming back never looked the same until yesterday v batley, where he showed some of his early season form.
seem to lose his way a bit mid season, did same for swinton last season until gary chambers went public he had given him a major rollocking, he then finished the season strong and destroyed us at whitehaven in the last game.We signed him off the back of this and as i say was outstanding until injured away at batley in mid may.Only played 3 times since including yesterday, lets see how he finishes off th season.
If he can perform for a full season like he did the first 8 games he will be an excellent signing

Given his background, it's hard to imagine that union didn't figure in his CV somewhere. It was pretty obvious that we weren't going to keep all the outside backs we've accumulated over the last few months, even though some are on loan. Got to say, Kear is definitely one of our best though, so however much we have to accept it, it's a disappointment to lose him.

Last week someone said Kear had signed for a union team. Why would he be having a trial on Saturday if he has already signed for them or someone else? An odd thing to do. Maybe he hasn't yet signed and is still available for an offer from the Bulls.

I suspect he's already signed. This would certainly explain his dad's recent tweet.
I like Kear and I would have rather he stayed, but in all honesty the future of our club will not be determined by the odd winger or two. There are far more important sections of the squad to spend our limited resources on before we try to keep hold of the like of Kear.
He is a good player, but he's not a world beater.

Agreed Nothus, It is a distinct advantage for a centre / winger to get to the line if you are already thanks to the pack pretty close to it and in possesion

It was me, I did say he's signed, and that was the case. I was given the information direct from his team mate. This was backed up by the recent t&a report, and the fact he's trialled with the outfit, and you still question whether he's signed... Is this just blind optimism or just plain denial?

On a serious note, I'm gutted Kear's leaving. He's been consistently our best winger by a country mile in my opinion. His enthusiasm has been head and shoulders above the rest of the team in recent seasons. Good luck Elliot!
