I was idly scribbling on't back of a fag packet and decided that one way to look at the salary cap for 2105 with the projected squad of 30 is,

2 players on 17,500 = 35,000
2 players on 20,000 = 40,000
15 players on 25,000 = 375,000
5 players on 38,000 = 190,000
4 players on 50,000 = 200,000
2 players on 80,000 = 160,000

30 players, total cost 1,000,000

It's just one structure of many combinations possible, but ldoing the fag packet calc made me a little bit more optimistic as to what we may be able to afford. Assuming we can afford the cap, of course.

On point of us being able to afford cap, 50% of turnover limit on cap spend rules is coming back in. How are RFL going to administer this next year? We'll have been well over 2 million turnover needed to allow us to spend full cap next year.. But will Leigh,fax etc meet that level? Will be more level 2016 season onwards but next yr seems like there will be an imbalance between teams in league. So are RFL going to ignore turnover % rule for transition year and allow everyone to spend full cap?.

Given the massively severe penalties for even looking at administration that are coming in, I doubt it.

Does look like him doesn't it. Fingers crossed as he's come on noticeably just in last few weeks since lowes took over. Think being coached by lowes and playing regular first team is best investment in his career obrien could make. Surprised their announcing him now if it is him as I'd have thought he'd be one of bigger retentions and saved for season ticket launch. Makes it interesting who they've got to announce then as you'd assume its someone they consider bigger news.
