You could almost say some of those rumoured to be leaving played a large part in digging the hole we are in now...

Had we got top 4 it's unlikely we'd be here. Green may be lots of things but the failure of that squad to deal with the championship helped, massively, to drop us in the mire.

So whilst I have a load of sympathy for their plight they also need to remember that whilst Ferres and green were making the bed, they were happily fluffing the pillows.

The only thing Green has done well at is bringing Rohan in as coach which i feel was a good move but we may not see the reward of it.

Agreed. The way many of the current squad played latterly under Lowes and then in the debacle at Fev was a big reason for us being where we are. Wherever they go I hope those clubs don’t expect too much from them, however I don’t blame anyone for leaving.

Hopefully today will be the end of it one way or another. I suspect it will just carry on until we have no squad left. Then we’ll either scrape survival to end up relegated or be liquidated and that’ll be it.

12 point deduction and loss of 5 players will not make it easy to make the playoffs.
Not as bad as if there is no club mind...

12 point deduction would be pretty much impossible for top 4. If Leigh had that many points taken from them in 2015 (they lost 1 and drew 1) they would have finished on 31 points and finished 5th. Real backs against the wall season (if we survive) but then we aim to finish as high as we can and defend that Shield!

Well yes I was going to stop short of apportioning blame on the players but you cannot get away from the fact that they have to shoulder some of the responsibility for the mess. I'm sure many gave it their best, but as a squad they should have finished in the top 4 fairly comfortable. All that being said, they don't deserve to be going without pay when they have families to look after.

Well if we still have a club this time next week, I think expectations are going to have to be lowered for the season ahead. Let's worry about the immediate threat first though.

Losing 5 players and a 12 point deduction would be tough but I’d accept it over liquidation if we could remain fulltime with the academy intact. We’d be in a relegation battle but we’d know where we are.
