my thoughts too, due to the timing - why was this not said last Wednesday? I guess that they have made good progress in the last week or so towards signings/resignings so that they can be confident to go public

Must admit when I read the interview I just assumed that we had already signed someone who could do that. It just seems a bit strange as an objective. A full back who could play stand off, or a half back that can play hooker makes sense. But a fullback that can play hooker? Might be misquoted

I know plenty of rumours have been circulating about Gale going to Cas, not sure if it was on here or that facebook fan page where someone had asked Gale and he didnt know where the rumours had come from,

Only asking as a different person said exactly the same thing to me yesterday that no one had ever mentioned from either club about Gale and that he was looking at staying at Bradford ??

I just think it's poorly expressed. It's not unusual for a full back to be able to rotate with a stand off or a scrum half to get a run at hooker and he's trying to say that a bit of versatility in the spine is the real goal. Maybe.

pretty certain that was naughton. think we retained his registration in event he came bac before his original contract ran out. I think its still got a year or so to run.

If Those plus wood are level of player ferres is referring to as junior players then I'd be pretty happy with them as backup. My only concern is that mellor, conroy,roberts and wood were all part of this years first team squad ( not sure but other two may have been as well) and I wouldnt be surprised if some of them are being included in the 24 senior players. If thats the case and we're promoting another bunch from this years academy into first team squad then it looks a fair bit weaker.

Thats way I read it. Halfbacks and fullback who can rotate and also cover hooker from within that group of players.not necessarily a fullback who can play hooker. Player that springs to mind currently that can cover halves and hooker would be Addy. Although I thought he was rumoured to be taling to hull kr and cas.

I wonder if Naughtons registration is no longer an issue, as this clause may have ended with the Bulls relegation. All the players contracts were void if we were relegated, as a result, I wonder if the same applied to the Naughton situation?

He might be sick of being called crap. The YP just said he is "expected to join" Cas, as if it was pretty much solid info., and I don't think Gale denied it. If he does go to Cas, then Obviously Powell must share my view that Gale does have class in there and is confident he can get it regularly out of him. But it's not a view shared by many on here.

Personally I think he'd go a storm in the Championship, but I'm assuming he's gone.

Maybe but think it was only players with superleague contracts that became void. Don't think academy contracts are affected, and I think that's what naughton was on
