Would have liked to have seen Lawford tomorrow but not too surprised. He's still very young and will get plenty of opportunities this year. Good thing Lilley, Patton, Holmes, Flanagan etc have to perform otherwise they'll be dropped.

Reason I left England out was in case we pick up an injury in the backs or if Arundel isn’t 80 mins fit (not had a full pre-season) Butler could move to centre. Thompson to SR and Baldwinson to 13. Not too much disruption as you’d still have two rotating props. No point running Lawrence for 80 mins if we don’t have to.

Looking forward to it. I’ll be there. Hopefully be a strong start to the season.

Looking forward to this much more than I thought I would but I do fall for it every season.

Low expectations but hopefully we see a good game and the lads give us a reason to get behind them and the fans will follow

Walker off within 3 mins due to injury.

Look good in defence. Very good so far. Attack needs work on the timing, and crispness of the passes but that comes.

Shoutout to Blackmore who’s making great meters from the back. Lilley looks like a man on a mission and Foggin-Johnston looks class today so far too.
