Absolutely no offloads until the game was effectively over 22 - Team who offloaded 2/3 times in each set with players pushing up 23.

I don't think we lacked ideas, when we played football we scored. I think the game plan is one up, no mistakes, play at the right end of the pitch and points will simply come. In other words what we saw yesterday and all too often before is the intention.

It is dour, unwatchable dross. The players look dispirited and frightened to try. Any team that defends as a unit will beat us. The crowd is silent and if things carry on like this we'd fit in the gantry under the scoreboard.

Agree completely. At the game we were trying to work out what the gameplan was and it seemed to be to complete the set and kick to the corner. With ball in hand we asked no questions at all for long periods and the kicking game was so predictable. The last 10 mins were in complete contrast and we looked like we would score whenever we got in their half.

The Kear brought Crossley back on. Why? Mustapha was still fresh and making ground and getting a quick PTB. Crossley then made a mess of a PTB and conceded a penalty in possession at the key moment. FFS!

Didn't Crossley love up at a crucial period in the Sheffield game too? Think he messed up a kick-off just after we score or converted a penalty from what I remember. Sheffield then scored from that set and never looked back.

100%. Same thing applies to the lack of discipline which was abysmal. Giving penalties away for dissent is unforgiveable. Kear's post match interview was almost a repeat of the one after the Sheffield match. For a man of his experience it's funny how he can't explain the lack of urgency or desire in the team. Surely he must see the warning signs?

In that last 15 minutes we actually looked a pretty decent attacking team. This is when I assume we moved away from Kear's apparent game plan of mostly forward drives and a kick to Gill which was obviously not working. We then began to offload in tackles and backed up. Consequently this paid off with 3 trys in a short period.
Come on Kear give the players some latitude to play a bit off the cuff and entertain us.

In fairness to Crossley I thought the previous penalty to the Bulls and the one against us in the last 2/3 mins were absolute bollox. Both could have changed the outcome and that would have been nonsense.

Sorry but having seen Barrow penalised for an incorrect play the ball only seconds earlier we should've been squeaky clean. It was brain dead of Crossley to get himself penalised in this way.

Thaler may have been a bit pedantic with the earlier penalty but we gave him no option but to penalise us. It was an opportunity too good for him to miss to show his impartiality.
