Instead, we're berated by the MD and told WE have to get the wayward fans back to Odsal to buy into the Superdooper Totally Amazing Masterplan of Mr Green, which seems to be about as real as WMDs in Iraq
Ferres asked for the fans to back the club, I'm frankly surprised that anyone would take issue with that.
Since the size of the city, and the potential that that offers, is probably our biggest source of potential revenue, the one certainty is that if people don't turn up in reasonable numbers next year we'll be stuck in the lower divisions for a considerable time, at the very least until an actual P&R system is brought in. I don't feel that asking the ones who are still turning up to act as 'standard bearers' and to promote the club's best interests is in any way "berating" anyone.
It is going to be very difficult next season. The new 'P&R' system is clearly designed to retain the status quo and having one of the bigger support bases is undoubtedly our best shot of having sufficient cash to beat the odds and maybe overturn that system. I think fans should maybe consider whether supporting the club is worth more than the politics.
