Unless injuries strike there is no way O'Brien would make the 17 for Leeds so IF this news is correct, I'd say a very good chance of him been loaned back to,you as unless Falloon and/or Burrow get injured long term he won't get any important game time at Leeds.

I also cannot believe that Leeds would be willing to pay/offer £125k for him when we'd agreed terms with Westerman but refused to meet Hull's valuation of £150k

I fully understand why O'Brien might be interested if Leeds wanted him and I certainly couldn't blame him if for wanting to go. But the club need to tread very carefully here otherwise they might well disillusion a lot of supporters. The fans are sick to the back teeth of seeing our best young talent leave the club. At the end of the day he's a contracted player and him and Gaskell are the only real gems in our side. In fact I'd say he's arguably held in higher esteem due to the fact he is a local lad and a product of our youth structure. The deal has to be a good one for us, 125k might be good for the books but if it weakens our team and pisses off a lot of support then it might well be much more costly in the long run.

We have a dedicated bunch of supporters working for Bullbuilder trying to encourage fans to dip into their pockets to help with the academy but if all they ever do is leave the club rather than build around them then why bother?

Gutted if turns out to be true as seems likely. So now we need to find a 9 as well as a scrum half, as halafihi didn't look ready for 1st team. And we go out and sign another 2nd row where we're ok

Dear Bulls.

When you sold Ferres, you lost a lot of long-standing members, including at least one chap that had been paying top dollar as long as me. I stayed. If you have sold O'Brien, then after some decades of interesting times, I won't be renewing my membership.

So, we have winding up petition lodged by HMRC which is described on the day (about 3 weeks ago) as a mistake and will be rectified shortly following legal intervention. We then hear absolutely nothIng and i mean nothing regarding the situation, then our only saleable asset is rumoured to be sold raising a reasonable amount of cash, leaving us without a proven number 9! Hmmm!

And let Conroy leave this year to join Dewsbury. All feels a bit familiar, aside from Welham we seem to be signing very ordinary players who are likely on lower wages and in the meantime selling our best young talent to help balance the books. Maybe O'Brien is our answer to a HMRC bill?
