It's not about a big secret build up. It's about as big a press build up as possible. They have a responsibility to sponsors to get as many eyes on as they can and that means scheduled announcements rather than just sneaking it on to the club website because it's cheaper and everyone's already heard on Twitter anyway.

I'm pretty tech savvy. I've been on the internet in one form or another since 1990. I hear about things here, in the papers or not at all. I don't think outed secrets are as outed as you think. They are to those that must know straight away and who are constantly updating themselves on the story of their club but that's far from all of even the devoted fans, never mind the public at large.

I agree with vbfg...

The club is dammed if they do and dammed if they don't. At least they are making an effort and certainly trying things differently from previous boards.

Would be brilliant if it was a different signing instead of Uaisele and takes everyone by surprise

Indeed, though sadly one main feature of the FB / Twitter / etc age is that there is NOTHING you could say or do that won't attract instant criticism derision or abuse from someone. Social media works wonderfully as an arrishole detector, but the number of arrisholes is staggering.

I think they should pull a swerve, if Uaisele was the announcement for tonight. Pull another new signing out and parade him. After all, the announcement was supposed to be an exclusive for The Pulse, so if someone's stolen their thunder you'd think they'd want something done

and how do you pronounce it? I will add it to the squad list. I might just add the BCB commentators pronunciations of the squad names too, so we can understand them if listening.
