To be fair to both Addy and Donno, neither have had an easy ride so far.
Donaldson has had a nightmare with injuries, with two which might well have ended his career and yes, I'd agree he's not as far on as he might have been but he's at least two years back, in development terms. He only got a one year deal this time round, allegedly to prove his fitness, and he's done that for my money so he deserves another deal, imo.
Danny has also been messed about and has played virtually every position except full back, which was far from ideal for a young player breaking into the game. It would be good for him to get some stability and make one position his own - either that or take him as a jack of all trades and accept he'll never be a true master of them all. His defence is, ahem, a work in progress shall we say, but he breaks the line, can pass and has good kicking game. With our injury record and his willingness to put his hand up and play anywhere, Danny has been invaluable and should be an even bigger asset next year. At the end of the day we'll need all the SL experience [hopefully] for the middle and end of next season
