I am still in shock...
As others have said, they came thinking they'd bully us but they just couldn't cope with being on the receiving end of what they tried to dish out.
Away from the playing I though Lawrence was magnificent channelling the teams aggression back into the actual game rather than loosing the plot. He was constantly in the thick of it, talking to the players defending their actions to the ref.
They stuck together brilliantly. 1-17 no-one backed down. Appo was visibly backed with hugs and back slaps when he was binned (questionable decision when he yellowed one of theirs for a trip - is that not automatic red anymore?).
The level of controlled mastery of being a wind up merchant that Flanagan Sr achieved was nothing short of spectacular and for once it was the opposition losing their tin and not us.
Honestly, forget the Leeds CC game. For me to see a team in red amber and black so determined to give another team a metaphorical black eye in such a way you have to go back to relegation year and where we turned over Leeds and Wigan after being relegated and we were determined to give the whole of the SL what for.
Also on questioning the ref, did anyone see them throw the ball at, I think, Lilley? I thought I did and couldn't work out why Holmes got binned for it last week but Toulouse were only penalised?
