Reading the match report, Rhys' brother played half back and scored a hat trick whereas Rhys played at 9. If he has been signed as a back up 9 who can play 7 when our yet to be announced 7 needs a rest then fine, if he's signed to be starting 7 then Im less sure, Id give him a chance but our recent record at picking up undiscovered gems from the lower reaches in Oz is not good, and I'd prefer to pick a more proven option (with some of the cap money we've splashed on the back row) or loan a younger up and coming fringe player from a super league squad for the season, but we'll see I guess.

quote from the report: Hooker Ryley Jacks, who persisted despite injury, also crossed for three tries, and his brother, stand off Rhys ere superb for the visitors,

Waiting for an announcement...

Rhys/ ryley 9/7 ? the report I was going off is here;

usa off to wc

"There were four lead changes and two players bagged hat-tricks, USA forward Danny Howard and Canadian five-eighth Ryley Jacks."

Still no idea if there is anything in this rumour or not mind. Wait and see I guess.

It's being announced in the morning, today. I've spoke to numerous players agents and the feedback has been positive.

Only problem is that the club need to get the departures of Clough, Nielsen and Ryan announced (see the Marc Green thread) asap.

There's been no rumours around Clough, though if he was to leave, he's under contract so we'd be getting a fee there. Nielsen, I think many of us have accepted that he's leaving as he seems to be pulling a move out of Matt Orford's playbook. So that leaves us with Ryan, who was only contracted until the end of the season so his leaving isn't some big shock as many just assumed he's already left. Especially given the way we've already recruited his replacement.

Your level of trolling started low and just keeps dropping.

Members emails have just gone out confirming signing of Rhys Jacks on trial......not sure what to think about this, I would still very much hope we intend to sign an established and known scrum half....but best of luck to Rhys

With the so called Peter Hood posting comments at the time he does, it confirms to me he works on the night shift at Ciba or whatever it's called now.

If it's the person I think it is, he is an ex Bulls fan who changed his allegiance to Leeds Rhinos because they started selling better pies than the ones on offer at Odsal and believe me he knows his pies

I think it's a good thing, rather than throw another contract at an unproven player, we get a chance to see how he fits into the team and environment. You can't just dismiss a player's potential just because of their age or playing background. The lad is young and hungry to succeed, so give him a chance

Worrying that 'Peter Hood' knew about the announcement before the emails were sent. Could he be right about Clough as well? But only a few days ago you posted that Clough had a virus and would miss the start of the season. What has changed in between now and then for him to be leaving the club completely?

If it's true and Clough has left then we are really going to struggle next season. Clough played huge minutes and got through a ton of work, he would be very difficult to replace.

Off seasons are supposed to be exciting times, as the squad improves and you have new signings to look forward to. So far this one has been a complete fecking disaster on that front.

What do you honestly expect when you have people running the club with no ambition, who is offering pittance to players.
