The Government agency has returned Greg's passport with the documentation on his visa application but until he actually goes home and opens the envelope we won't know what their decision is," said Bradford chairman Peter Hood.

:) hardly - just dont see a desperate need to throw him in cold for a game we've been preparing for all week without the benefit of training with the squad. Give him a week to at least do some training and learn some of our plays. Wouldnt hurt to give him a chance to acclimatise to the slightly different weather conditions either

reading the yep article he's already got his work permit and is only waiting on visa. Whilst he may be here for the kr game cant see him playing. Whilst he's undoubtedly a better player than jeffries, until a couple of weeks ago we were looking at playing the entire season with jeffries so its not like we have no option but to play bird.

Bird has not played for around six months but has kept himself fit and has received gameplans from Bradford coach Steve McNamara.

I would imagine that he'd go straight into the squad. however, if he's got his visa and everything but gets here less than 48 hours before kick-off then I'd think give him till the following week so he's got time to adjust to his new surroundings and meet his teams as well as get a proper training season with the team under his belt before throwing him in the deep end

Let's hope McNamara picked them up from somewhere good.

So how long do you leave it then before he plays then. Do you leave it another month so that would be 7 months since he last played. So going on your logic that increases his chance of injury even further. It's not like he's been injured he will have been training the entire time so he's going still be fairly fit just not fully match fit.

A couple of training sessions would be sensible so he can understand the calls. A bit of a gamble taking him from the airport to the pitch and asking him to play a key role with blokes he's never trained with.

judging from the article, Bird isn't a registered player with us? How does it work with announcing the 20 man squad if they have a plan for Bird to play?

Some scientists claim that hydrogen, because it is so plentiful, is the basic building block of the universe. I dispute that. I say there is more stupidity than hydrogen, and that is the basic building block of the universe.

It is understood the Bulls hope Bird will be present at Sunday's match against Hull KR so they can at least unveil him to the crowd at Odsal.

Things seem to be moving on apace, much as I'd love to see a player of this quality in a Bulls shirt deep down I can't see it happening.
