"Never underestimate the human capacity for delusion" - Roger Cohen
A quote by a well renowned jewish author and journo.
As for delusion Dilligaf then pl consider the following, and your views and those of other members would of course be welcome.
Were you and the many loyal and long suffering Bulls ever deluded by any of the following owners/persons, or were any (or all) all of these persons at some stage deluded themselves?:
1) Peter Hood 2) Omar Khan 3) Marc Green 4) Andrew Chalmers 5) Chris Brereton, and 6) Nigel Wood
Be interest to hear your learned opinion(s).
We'll work on your understandable cynicism re our motives as time progresses.
Time to watch the Grand Final - it's 14 years since we last featured.
Having read some of this thread, and others from the times of previous changes of ownership, it never rains but it pours in your neck of the woods. We should count ourselves lucky for Simon Moran on the money front, and Darren Burns on the playing front, for keeping us in the topflight.
Hope the wheel of fortune turns full circle in the none too distant, and you have a stadium, within Bradford, you can call a home ground.

Thank you for such supportive words from the wider RL community.
Hopefully we'll be playing against the Wolves again in the not too distant future, and of course in the SL.

Further confirmation that you're in La La Land. The only hopes you should have are that the Club actually survives this latest mess and that any new owners only spend what can be afforded, which will make you a mid to top end Championship club for the foreseeable (although after a probable dip to nearer the bottom). Many fans also need to get that into their heads.

We can dream Mr D, and if we don't aim high, then our prolonged period of mediocrity will interminably continue.
That said we agree that all Bulls fans need to recognise and accept that in the immediate term we need to manage our finances and players in a prudent and professional manner ... and ideally not break the law!
We think the so called CB consortium will provide no more than the same mediocrity. The consortium has we understand no substantial financial backing and thus mid Championship may be the best we could hope for, and yes we agree with you that if we are not (very) careful and effectively managed etc then we'll do well to avoid being relegated to League 1 next season. CB's consortium is we believe not the right choice for the club, and is allegedly associated with some untrustworthy characters. In this regard a number of well renowned RL commentators are starting to see the light and say the same, albeit to date not in print.
Out of interest Mr D, did you ever believe in Andrew Chalmers' 2017 La La Land vision in that he aspired to a return to SL by circa 2020? Was he deluded?
"Everybody is a genius. But if you judge a fish by its ability to climb a tree, it will live its whole life believing that it is stupid."― Albert Einstein "Everybody gets so much information all day long that they lose their common sense." ― Gertrude Stein "Don't believe everything you read on the internet" ― Abraham Lincoln

Whats the latest on the players that invoked termination of thier contracts? I believe Bradford's 7 days for appeal for a few of them was up on Friday.

Leaving aside no's 5 and 6, the common factor with them all is that they were left a pile of doo doo by the name above, along with the RFL - I guess you should add Chris Caisley to the top of the list as he was the one who spent the Odsal Settlement money on contracting players which history shows we couldn't afford.
All of those started with a 'queered pitch'. CC was scuppered with the 'Superdome' fiasco and the rest either by debts and or points deductions kindly left in their in-trays, and most of them started with no team either. I honestly believe each and every one (including my addition at the top) did their honest best and thought they were doing right by the club though clearly, self preservation did take over at the end for a few.
As for me, if the sale doesn't go ahead, and we're back to square 1 yet again, then that's it. No more re-boots, new seasons with no team, no money and no chance. They can re-start where they want, under what name they want and with whoever they want in control. Unless it's some really 'minted' guy it'll be re-starting without me.

Yes CC & Hood - the Tesco/Morrison’s fiasco did for them. Compounded by the fragmented shareholdings. Hoods last throw of the dice was gambling all on Orford & cheap tickets and iirc we were 4th and in the QF when he got injured. A promising season fell apart and the end began. Omar - I always thought the £1.8m fine he received was imposed by the SL clubs, but I’ve heard recently he offered it. Which would be madness. As soon as central funding was cut, his fate was sealed. My only quibble with your summary above - Mr Green was a chancer. Lots of stories about his businesses in Leeds were kicking around. Could play a crowd though - charismatic. Still info to come out re AC, so the jury still out on him for me
