I'm far from sure just what actual 'reassurance' we can be given, unless there really is is some genuine light at the end of the tunnel - like a new backer coming in or maybe, just maybe, due to the "exodus", the financial load, is going to ease sufficiently to allow us to go forward. If things really are at the bad end of all the scenarios then I seriously can't imagine how we're signing players or even paying the wages at all. So I, and we, probably have to accept it's not quite as bad as in our nightmares.
I'm not sure how you would tell people that 'we're not exactly totally up the creek without a paddle and we're just, sort of, coping and hoping for the best' without frightening off a significant number. Truth is we can't afford to frighten off any more.
Platitude is probably a better word. I am really hoping and praying the club can say something rather than nothing, to give me the "reassurance" that my club is not that far down the tubes that there is no light at the end of the tunnel, if only for the sake of season ticket sales.
