For your sake, I hope this is true ;) Would be massive for club if true. 38 tackles yesterday, 1 missed. He wasn't just making tackles, he was hurting some of the Leeds players, dumping some and really driving his shoulder into the ribs.

Fantastic news if true.

Improvement in Adams game has been obvious in last few weeks under lowes. Best place for him is at bulls learning from an all time great. Interesting that jimmy has sidelined diskin and played obrien as an 80 minutes hooker. Going back to how he used to play and obrien seems to be flourishing under extra responsibility.

We'll I did mention Sidlow and Olbison a few days before it was announced too so I'm sure (well hoping) I won't have egg on my face with this one either :)

Oh no - Pulsator has gone from "sure" to "well, hoping" in one sentence. Hope he is right as this would be a massive marker laid down by the club. Green has said he doesn't want to build a good championship team - he wants to build a good SL team for when we get back there. I am liking Green more and more. For once, I do think the club is in a safe pair of hands with a sound business mind guiding them. I am also one of those who think Feress is a knowledgeable manager and someone who we have lacked for a number of years. Two blokes who won't let the club get into trouble again - hopefully!

I heard a few bits at a function last night, one of which was there is a resigning to come Monday, unsure if it's AoB though as by all accounts his agent has been touting him round clubs to get a higher wage. Heard we have made a few signings already but these are gonna be drip fed (the featherstone winger is definite)& also that most of the squad will be staying. Donno has a high number of offers from super league but wants to stay, and the most worrying one I heard was Luke Gale may have decided he wants to stay.

Think he has been a revelation since Jimmy took over - had a splendid game at Leeds and seems to have got his confidence back and delivering all his potential. Would be great if we could keep AoB. Things are looking more positive.

I would keep Gale. He had a very good game the other night. I thought it was a done deal though with Cas?
As far as keeping players who have better offers it is a case of how much we want to keep them. I would rather keep a potential top quality SL level player and find a way of paying him a SL wage now rather than letting him go to save 10-20k only to have to sign another player hopefully this time next year as our cheaper player isn't SL quality. Does anyone on here have a corner shop / off-licence that needs opening and are willing to pay AO'B £20k to do it + one or two others.

Players' performances have been done to death on here, but even though he's been fairly average over the year, I'd keep Gale. His 'sudden' resurgence has come about on the back of better go forward from the pack, something he's not had the pleasure of since the pre-season friendlies. Let's hope...

Not sure it's to do with go forward in the pack. Against Leeds we still struggled to make a lot of ground. The difference was when Leeds started their sets inside our half, we were hell bent on defending our line. Whereas under Cummins, we were guaranteed to crumble.

I've always said the "Gale is behind a beaten pack" was an excuse. We didn't have anymore possession than other games IMO the difference was we defended well, and Gale kicked superbly. He also actually ORGANISED the attack and looked like he knew what he was going to do with the ball. He was like a different player

Also great game management from Jimmy. Olbison missed two tackles in a row for Leeds first try. Under Cummins, he would have been kept out there and Leeds would have scored a few more tries (for some reason Cummins always gave our back rowers huge spells, which might explain the high missed tackle count.) jimmy brought him off and brought on a fresh Ferguson. The very next set Leeds attacked out right hand side again and Ferguson put on a monster hit on the Leeds player dislodging the ball. I feel a tiring Olbison would have missed it. Jimmy is proactive, not reactive as with Cummins (who usually brought off the culpable player when we were 20 points down)

That's basically correct BM.

We defended well because we were putting them on their backs and that meant we going forward - even in defence - and they were scrambling when our defence was moving up. Well done Jimmy, 'cos we've not seen much of that this season. It's not just possession, it's quality possession which made the difference. It's the extra time with ball in hand that this gives which is crucial for the halves. I'm going back to clichés again, but you play RL on your toes not on your heels and you need the forwards to create space to allow you to get on your toes. Gale kicked better because he wasn't, for a change, on his heels and had the time to do so. 100% agree this down to Jimmy, he's the one thing which has changed in all this.
