Much easier to keep hold of the ones we want than get replacements, but I could see Donaldson, Mellor and Addy being tempting for some SL clubs for different reasons.

However the priority for resigning now starts and stops with AOB for me, thats the one i want to hear next.

I said similar when I saw Abdull early on in their game against Cas last Thursday. He was like an Addy clone.



As for players I reckon we may be after (but only my idea) Gil Dudson could be one - he's a big prop who is nowhere near good enough for Wigan.

As for Addy staying or going, I'd probably non-plussed either way. Decent in attack but pants in defence. He could thrive in the Championship but he'd also need to improve and be value for money.

He had a shocker of a game last night, that's for sure.

Pleasing to see AoB being specifically mentioned in today's t&a as being someone Jimmy is keen to keep hold of.

I'd guess quite a few have most probably got deals 'in the bag', but which just haven't been announced yet. It's difficult for the club since they obviously want to keep the news rolling along until well into the season ticket sales period and not just announce everything now and then have 2 month gap, with fans complaining about 'no news'.

But would be nice to know the core of the squad is place now, if you leave it much longer players will have made commitments and I would think general fans pay more attention to announcements in the season itself. I am sure the club would benefit by an early lift in ST sales

What about Richard Horne for a year??

Bags of experience and could help bring along Brook?

But of course that would depend on how much £ he would cost.

I suppose that agents all over the place are scurrying about trying to fix deals right now. Dunno how we compare with other clubs, though that said, we, along with London, are in a special position, what with all the SL contracts being 'up' at the end of the season.

I'd guess the season tickets may well be launched at the Hull FC game as the next [and last] home game isn't until the Widnes game in September, which sounds a bit late to me. If that's true, it should be drip drip drip up to that point, just to keep the kettle on the boil, and then a couple on the day. Just over two weeks and we ought to have a much better idea of the squad..I hope!

Its unlikely Lowes and co. will be sat on their hands' doing nothing he could have stayed where he was and done that, its one thing announcing the resigning of players' already at the club, but announcing signings' from other clubs has to suit both parties' so that could be the reason there seems to be little movement atm.
