It's just a guess, isn't it. Albeit a 'guess' based on some reasonable assumptions. As has been said, with just £150K of funding, and everything from ST and sponsorship gone down a Green-shaped hole, there will need to be a considerable amount of money spent just to pay for a part-time team, let alone a full time squad.
Ironically, it will probably be harder to put together a competitive part-time squad, than a full-time squad, at this point in time. Where on earth would anyone be able to find decent quality part-time Championship players that are not already signed up to our rivals? Whereas there are 20+ players hanging around Tong Street Costa who presumably want someone to offer them a full-time deal. Add in a few loans and a few people who might become available, and it wouldn't be
that hard to build some sort of squad - albeit they'd need about £700K-£800K to do it.
I just hope Chalmers isn't working on the idea that he can offer all of our full-time players a shiny new part-time contract. I'd assume that anyone worth having would be off in a flash, leaving us with the people that no one else wants.
