As a good burgher (think thats how you spell it...of Bingley Rural, the only things I want the council to spend money on are my road, my road to work and on to Odsal (which should be upgraded to motorway immediately), my bins emptied (twice a day), the OSV which should provide free hospitality boxes at public expense to every resident of Bingley Rural and a very superior grade old folks home FOC for when I need it.
I don't have any kids so every school should be shut and the kids sent to work in the mills (or in Tigertot Towers if badly behaved).
I use Google so all the libraries should be shut and turned into workhouses for the poor since all their benefits will be stopped.
No road maintenance will be carried out unless its a road I'm likely to use, in which case I want double yellows all along both sides.
Keighley should be cut adrfit and left to fend for itself completely. Not penny of public money to go near the place. Indeed, levy a special local tax so they all have to emigrate to Halifax.
Ilkley should be redistributed and the nicest houses dished out to the residents of my road. ALl the rest would be regraded as new band Z for council tax, and air would be charged for by the litre.
Most of Bradford other than where Bulls fans live should be given to Leeds and made their problem.
All the swimming pools should be shut and the savings spent on a luxury pool in the field behind my house.

Well that was little more than an extreme version of what some of our friends from Keighley are suggesting?
