EVENTUALLY, WE'LL WIN SOMETHING, ,MAYBE, IF I'M STILL ALIVE THEN

Re: Administration 3 - now in technicolour : Wed Dec 21, 2016 12:32 pm
I think the point being made is that not that Bradford is the big I am of the sport but that if a club can go from being the epitome of the success of the early Super League years to liquidation in around a decade, and lose the club in the city that is deemed good enough to host the museum, then the game is right to be worried. I agree with that.

I've no wish to read something that resembles the comments section below a tabloid news story with posters trying to outdo each others sense of grievance with ever more extreme remarks. BURN THEM! No! BURN THEM IN ACID!! No! BURN THEM IN AIDS INFECTED ACID!! etc.

Oooh yes, and perhaps a couple of 'no longer a big club' quotes may not go amiss....

"I can take my red, amber, and black tinted glasses off but it makes little difference to my view. The plight of Bradford is one of many symptoms that indicate a game in difficulty. Equally in saying that the game is poorer for not having a strong Bradford is in no way the same as saying Bradford are the be and end all. Surely only the most parochial of tits would argue the state of Bradford is anything other than damaging to RL in this country."

As an ex-Hull and now London Broncos fan i think this is spot on. RL is in trouble, i wonder what the next Sky contract look like, cant see it being better? RU is taking some of our best players, we lack decent sponsors and the Challenge Cup isnt what it was. So whils Bradford are in this mess because of terrible owners, i for one hope there is a resolution and a decent owner takes over. SL/RL can ill afford to lose a club whether its Bradford or anyone else.

Good luck

2015 - major missed opportunity, 2016 - stronger teams = harder task (no problem there then), 2017 - OMG What now!!!

Who's said that. Why do people constantly just make up what people actually say just to try paint them in a bad light. No one is saying we're bigger than the sport. Would RL still carry on if we're liquidated? Of course it would. Would it be a blow to sport if Bradford were to fold. Yes.

The sport overall is hemorrhaging fans at an alarming rate. The RFL are losing funds from sport England due to declining participation numbers. It would be a blow to the sport to lose a club that has a very solid fan base and is one of the best clubs at developing juniors in the country? Yes. RL can't afford to lose any club whether it's Bradford, Sheffield or York.

I agree about the corrupt owners. We're more desperate than anyone to have an honest owner.

Maybe you should read some of the posts then. The one I quoted from your trusted Frank implied that. Also the RFL would be concerned if any member club went into administration. If you want to stop someone with an opinion of there own from your board you can ban me if you like, but I don't think you are the same as W$%^n moderators. I haven't thrown any personal insults at anyone or threatened to sue anyone as many fans seem to have done on this thread and most of those have been Bradford fans. I mean come on, some of you must have seen what was coming months ago when the crazy ST offer was touted.

This isn't about RL being in a mess and therefore it has effected the Bulls survival. the Bulls have a large and faithful fan base, decent players etc. Had great success over the SL era and had good money flow coming into the club. From where I sit it is down to the mismanagment of all of the above by the folks in charge. not the fans who didn't come back when you were relegated, not the RFL (who tried to help last time this mess happened). the BOD of directors or at least one of them have screwed it up and screwed you lot over.

Exactly right. The majority of SL clubs would find themselves in administration if their sugar daddies suddenly withdrew their backing.
