If they started at 12 and adjourned at 4 then they must have got into the detail. That says to me there can't have been any really fundamental problems or it would surely finished and the liquidators be in by now.

Of course this could just be my optimistic nature and it may all yet be dashed.

Indeed. It sounds to me like the basic objections are out of the way and levels of assurance are being sought.

Speculative nonsense of course but if it was a complete non-starter we'd have stopped.

As you say, something must be progressing but There must be some issue or we would have a new owner now.

How much more of this do the players & staff have to take?

The finer legal points can take ages sometimes. Buying a house is bad enough I expect this is worse.
