Just a thought... Does the dual reg system apply next year??

If so, who would we dual reg with in SL1?

As it is normally a local side-
Leeds?
Cas?
Wakey?

Me personally, I think it would be a bad move. The guy maybe loyal be he can't seem to get through half a season without some major injury.

We already have a high earner next year in Ferguson who is yet to string a run of games together.

Would be an absolute disaster to have so much salary cap tied to two that need to prove their ability to stay fit!

I got told the other day that Langley offered to take a 60% pay cut to stay last year but Cummins just didn't want him

From what I hear I don’t think Langley will be returning as a player.

Isn't dual reg one of those things still to be decided in the RFL's great masterplan?

It's beginning to look like the "Cummins didn't want him, or Cummins only wanted people to buy into the culture he was creating" soundbites of the last 18months for the players who left could just have been a judgement call which went wrong. Much easier to look at it in hindsight though.

Langley as a coach i think would work well, he is great tackler and mayube can show some others how to do it.

If we comes back as a player but super cheap then he may make an ok CH prop.

I think that the view certain players will be ok in the championship is dangerous. In the key part of next season, in order to return to Super League you need to be better than all other championship sides and at least one of the bottom four from Super League. Based on todays standings only that means having a pack that will at least get parity with those of, Hull FC, Hull KR, Wakefield and Salford. Over seven games and possibly a one off play off that is unlikely to be achieved with props who "will be ok in the championship".

The attraction of Bradford as a big club in players minds will wane if you allow yourselves to get established in the lower tier. You need to get out of that league as soon as possible, that requires decent SL qulity players who will be excellent in the Championship.

Agreed GiantDee. While we need to "cut our cloth" etc we have to make sure we're in the market for the very best we can afford and don't just have a larger squad of average joes.

No, we will have dual reg. Deffo. I reproduce below the official full details so far announced, It's a bit complicated to follow, but still ...

"Dual registration will remain in 2015 in some form"
