Scruton signed a new contract last week, staying at the Wildcats for another 2 seasons.

I hope all these suggestions - barring McCarthy - are tongue in cheek, otherwise some of you guys are going to be in for a shock when our recruitment really does get going

My guess would be either a current champ player, a fringe player from down under or (long shot) someone from the french leagues. No names to offer because, to be totally honest, my knowledge of all of those scenarios is pretty rubbish.

Given the stick Gale has got from this forum, I'll be interested to see how he plays at Cas next season. Don't think he's as good as Sneyd, but as good as Finn, and in some ways a similar player. I think in Cas's system with Powell coaching, he'll go we'll.

I don't think Gale deserved much of the flak he got this year. Whilst he's not the best half we've ever had, behind a decent pack, he'll go fine in SL for Cas.
