Perhaps Raynor would better if he had a centre inside him who could tackle

Maybe tonight he'll be paired with Platty, in which case I'd expect him to have more confidence in his centre partner and stay out on the wing

Should have gone for ainscough tonight, raynor never saw daylight, ainy is rough aggressive and a fighter he would have helped our cause tonight, get him in for France

TBH, looking back at the game, I can understand why Potter didn't pick Ainy. He's been going well for us but Sinfield would have just bombed him all night long. Ainy does have a bit of a problem under the high ball, and getting battered all night long with the increased chance of errors could shatter his confidence. So, I think Potter made the right choice and protected the player
