Mullaney will rip it up next season. He's just been a bit unlucky at Salford. I've rated him and he's still a young lad. He picked up an injury, then Locke signing and Evalds stepping-up he wasn't going to be getting any game time for us next season. Being a quota spot aswell meant he was always on the cards to leave.
He's a good FB, a decent back-up kicker, supports well, and probably played his best stuff partnering chase in the halves. He's a little small for slipping in the centre, whoever mentioned that above.
A good signing.
Cheers for that, what I saw of him at the start of the season he looks like he should be a threat in SL with his pace and backing up - looked very good against us at Odsal, like you say unlucky for him (if not you
) that the Dr signed Locke, so I agree he should go really well in the Championship.
Also the point about playing in the halves is interesting, if we resigned Naughton (no idea if that has any legs btw - I doubt it FWIW) could we look at Mullaney with Gaskell at 6&7? Also, always good to have players who can kick goals, no idea if we're signing anyone else who can kick so at least we've now got one in
Good signing, happy with that, young, pacy and an attacking threat. Bring on the next signing!
