Irvine had to resign from from cronulla due to the drug scandal so has no direct links with the club

He did not have to resign- he chose to.
It's clear from the reports on the NRL inquiry and judgement that he had no knowledge or involvement in the scandal.

If lamb/Irvine do get to reform a club I wonder if they'll need to do a deal with Mr Thorne for the trademarks and Web domain?
