I agree with Roofaldo. Etu's been alright but he's lacking a bit of pace. Clare is a better player.

I think I read when Uaisele joined he can play wing or centre, and may even prefer centre.

What's perplexing me is, at the fans forum, Lowes said he had to name a 25-man squad for the Middle 8's, now we have 32 in the squad (1-34, no 18 or 30 now bates has gone), 5 are on loan not to be recalled; Ulugia, Petersen, Tahraoui, Brook and Conroy. Davies is a no-show (maybe to de-register for a quota spot, who knows?) and Baile is a forgotten man. That would be the 25 remaining. I wonder who would be left out further if we bring in 2-3 more players.

I'm also beginning to wonder if someone somewhere got some initials mixed up with regards Johhny Campbell and James Clare! Or our third signing is Jesus Christ to play half back...!

Very strange signing, Cas fans seem to rate him highly and he's been tearing it up for York, but he's actually been their 5th choice winger this year behind Carney, Solomona, Gibson, Channing and if I remember correctly they even played Tansey on the wing whilst they were struggling with injuries.

Seems to me that atleast 2 from Williams, Caro, Ulugia, Uisele and Henry wont be with us next year.

I'll give the lad a chance though, girlfriend is a Cas fan and she's gutted to see him go so I'm relatively happy with this one

The only way it makes sense to me, is that some will be gone at the end of the season.

I don't think Uaisele will be, especially if we go up. He's done OK but he lacks the pace that the top Super League wingers have.

I think Ulugia might go too. With Caro coming in, and Ulugia being sent out on loan to Batley, I think it's clear who Jimmy rates more highly.

I'm not sure who's out of contract, but if I had to choose two of the players you've listed to be released, it would be Uaisele and Ulugia.

I still think Ulugia deserves another shot. I'd keep him for next season on pure utility value alone. I can't see him being too expensive, I guess the only issue is the quota spot he's taking up.

Isn't he Samoan and the Govt have just relaxed the Visa requirements for Samoans?

No idea about the overseas trained requirements these days.

TBH, I don't think anyone really does. The whole quota thing is kind of on shaky ground to start with and it's only really kept in place by a gentleman's agreement from the teams
