I agree, very good signing - just the type, probably not too expensive, proven quailty for the level we're at with potential for further improvement. Mix this with keeping the ones from our squad we want to keep and add in a couple of experienced players and we could be on the way to a decent rebuild, early days though -we can't even name a 13 yet, lots of work still to do...looking forward to the next announcement now.

On Langley, if his injuries can be sorted and if he didnt take too much of our cap and if hes keen to play for us again then I'd take him back as an experienced head to help the younger members of the squad we'll hopefully sign/re-sign, but its got to be the right deal.

Can we take the risk signing Langley with his injuries? I agree with Duckman, If we can get him on the right deal he would be a decent signing in the championship, and he would be up there to be captain. I'd happily take him as a coach though.

Fleming has everything to develop into a top prop over the next few years, an excellent signing imo.
Meanwhile London continue to sign absolute rubbish.

Agree about Langley need to see some pride back in the shirt and potentially the only candidate for captaincy considering the players currently at the club.

I would like to see Langley back but, and many others have made this point, there's a question over his fitness.

This is a point I've made time and again, we CANNOT allow sentiment to hamstring our recruitment and as nice as it might be to have an old Bull back in the fold, but if that player comes on a heavy wage and isn't fit for 50% of the season then it's a poor signing.

It's not just his hamstring though is it? His shoulder and his knees are dodgy too

Seriously though, I'd be happy to see Langley back on a sensible wage, and with his salary linked to appearances.

Would also be an obvious captain (as is being discussed on another thread)

Also, he wouldn't have much to do, as we would be caning everybody by 60 points, so he could spend half the game on the bench or having a cool beer as we cruise to the top

Ah yes, just like the class of '73....I can still see them now, Sir Keith, Bak Diabira, Franny Jarvis, Ken Kelly and Graham Joyce et al. Oh yes and Kel Earl, who could ever forget Kel Earl, we thought it would never end...victory after victory, putting teams to the sword on a weekly basis.
