I presume this is more long term. Having those 3 as our wingers isn't a bad thing. As we don't know what league we're in, recruitment long term is going to be difficult. Clare is a player thay has mpressed me when I've watched him play for Cas. Great pace and is better than Ulugia and Uaisele. If he's available, then we should go for him.

Having said that a HB is a priority long term, but I don't think that will be sorted until we know what league we're in.

Just read that it may be a loan. Strange, but he's better than Uaisele IMHO and has pace.

I think Clare's better than Uaisele and would be good back up for Williams or Caro if one of them got injured against Halifax or during the 8s.

It does look like a few players are leaving and these signings are more long term than for right now.
We signed up a big squad probably knowing that a third would be released and keep the better ones. I am not too concerned at these signings seeming to give us too many backs as some will clearly go when Jimmy has decided who are good enough. We are clearly looking at speed in the backs which is needed in SL.

I'm sure that the signing deadline is 24th July. Also, James Clare signing pretty much confirmed on the T & A website: http://www.thetelegraphandargus.co.uk/s ... ord_Bulls/ The Bulls are expected to announce the signing of Castleford winger James Clare, who has been playing for York City Knights on dual registration. Clare scored four tries in a win over Gloucestershire last week to make it nine in seven appearances for York. Share article Knights head coach James Ford said: “He's going to Bradford as part of their drive for Super League. “It’s not a surprise a club like Bradford want him as he's a player of Super League calibre and, more importantly, he's a great guy.”

We've just got Caro and already have Williams and they're both decent wingers, however we haven't really any decent cover for either of them so it makes sense for us to bring some in

It's clearly part of a building process for the future. I'd take good young British lads over mediocre overseas players every day of the week plus it frees up valuable quota spacers (should a quality player become available). Nothing against Etu, he's done ok but hasn't set the place alight. Same goes for most of our imports barring a couple.

He's done alright, but I really don't see him as SL quality and THAT is the sort of player we need to be signing if we serious not only about gaining promotion but on staying up and building towards being a top 8 team instead of a middle 8 team
