| Well, it's turning out to be Groundhog Day isn't it? All the talk of administration "feeling different this time around" and we end up in the same situation as before. No one with any serious money will touch it with a barge pole because they're shrewd and know a turkey when they see one.
The only way you can hope to see even a modest return on any investment is to re-develop Odsal and as you don't get to own the ground when you buy the club you're relying on the vision and goodwill of two organisations that couldn't run a bath - Bradford Council and the RFL.
Until someone steps forward with pots of money who absolutely loves the club (and is willing to squander a couple of million without a care) it is an ever decreasing circle.

God, a new year, yet the same old sh*t. How depressing after all the positive vibes of the last few weeks.

| The talk of several rich businessmen fighting over us seemed too good to be true. And now, one by one they appear to be dropping out or the rumour was just rubbish in the 1st place.

| But if Lawn ended his interest before the first bids even went in, how would he know anything at all about what the actual bidders have been told and how things are progressing with them?
He is guessing as much as a lot of people are.
If you put a bid in surely the RFL and Administrator would tell you based on what you offered what sanction you would be getting? Then you have the opportunity to amend it before the final bids go in.
I'm probably going to jinx things here but I'm not going to let Lawn's comments bother me. The guy got everyones hopes up and made all sorts of comments before deciding to do nothing about it. Still keeping fingers crossed that this administrator is doing his job well and it is simply just a matter of him and the RFL choosing between the two 'promising' bids that were apparently put in.

| I thought late bid was nz based?
Also it's been clear from the start all debt 6 points..
Part debt 12 points..
I would have thought odsal was the only uncertainty?
The thing that's making it very difficult is loads of speculation flying about passed off as fact.
Lawn is trying to squeeze a tad more publicity out of the job for me.

| Mick just Tweeted the following:
I've had it confirmed that Gareth Roberts has a meeting with Bradford Council and the RFL next month. Very smoke and mirrors at the minute.
If Roberts is still in the running, we could be in for a lot long administration.
Mick also tweeted the following:
It's on good authority that increasingly frustrated bidders have not been contacted by the administrators - despite making bids last week.
If the above is true this is becoming a fiasco.
If we don't have an licence from the RFL can we still play friendlies?

| Quote DemonUK="DemonUK"Sorry but I think the punishments are early laid down as far as taking the existing club on. Pay 100% of the debts and get a 6 point penalty, don't pay 100% for 12 point penalty. As usual it's bag the RFL if you can't get your own way.
Sadly the fact it is gonna cost someone 2M is not the RFLs fault.'"
However not quite as black and white. Is that pay 100% immediately or over a time period? Is that 6 points in Championship or 12 points in Div 1? What if you pay 50% of the debt is that still 12 points or a sliding scale between 6 and 12? Part of the problem is that the punishment is not clearly laid down.

Might be something in that tweet, as BPA are to issue a statement surrounding Gareth Roberts apparent bid to buy the Bulls sometime this morning.

Pretty sure their would be no penalty if placed in League 1. Go and read the RFLS Insolvency policy. RFL can'take make a decision on staggered payments as creditors have not been consulted and may knock back an offer like that anyway so how can the RFL possibly consider penalties other than those currently laid out until the administrator/bidders/creditors have done what is necessary.
