What like roll on Wakey and Wire after beating Leeds?

They'll get some deserved place when they show the sort of skill and commitment they did tonight on a regular basis, not just when they've been
backed into a corner by embarrassing themselves like in the 2nd half in Perpignan or against Wire last week.

Right on.

Well done for the win no sour grapes from me apart from the first obvious knock on try - sorry thats sour grapes isn't it?

I hope this turns your season around but you really do need a new coach Stev Mc's interview and he is clueless about how he won and how he lost so badly las week against the Dire!

Can anyone who watched it on Sky tell me why the tries were disallowed? The big screen was a long way away and my eyes are not that good anymore...

The Burgess one looked like a knock on, 50-50 call though.
Menzies one? It looked ok from where I was. (100 odd metres away mind... )

The Burgess one - Menzies was alleged to have knocked on, ball came off Meli (I think it was?). Bit of a harsh call, and no benefit of doubt given. Them in the studio were sure it would be given - even bonehead.

The Menzies one - he was an inch short. He knew it too...you saw him shake his head when being congratulated.

Our first try in all honesty should not have been given - Jeffries gave himself up - but it makes a change for us to get the benefit of a referee mistake for one. One of Saints' tries at least looked forward too, but it happens. I suspect the vidref call over the Burgess no-try had a bit to do with evening that up, although no-one would ever admit it.

I thought that too. I didn't think that Burgess had momentum, but wondered if we had been given it make up for the earlier calls.
But that would never happen would it....

I was talking about the first one, where Menzies tried to palm the ball back, the one that was not given.

The second one, the one where Burgess' try was allowed, was given because the tackle was not complete and Sam slipped the tackle - was not a double movement.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.

From the available footage IMO you can't definitely say that it touched either player so it should have bee benefit of doubt.

Just watched it again as I came in just as Kopczak scored and Stevo was questioning why they'd just taken him off. The lad had an awesome first 10-15mins in the second half where he was driving the ball in twice in 3 sets I think and still being involved in many dummy runs. Not to mention his tackling.

Thats the best he's played IMO and we need him to do that more and more
