We can confirm that although it had been previously thought that the Council may be the, or one of the, puppet masters, that would now appear to not be the case.

So that leaves 2 options according to Paul's list of 3. Assuming his shortlist is accurate, then out of the remaining 2 apparent candidates, the RFL and NW, who do you (or other forum members) think is the most likely master?

Had an interesting conversation with a guy from Sport England Sunday morning. He came to Dudley Hill as we were showing the grand final with John being involved.

He was getting out to clubs as Sport England handed a pot of money to thr RFL to pay amateur clubs for developing players once they made a first team appearance at any profssional level not just Super League.

He then got onto them having an interest in making sure Odsal was kept useable for Rugby League puposes. He did not go into too much detail, but I am guessing the RFL have borrowed money on the back of the lease from Sport England, or alternatively they stand to lose yet more funding from the organisation should Odsal disappear in its current form. He also mentioned the council and Susan Hinchcliffe. It does actually beg the question how far an wide Odsal is of an interest and to how many people.

Was very interesting to say the least! But again I know it matters not to a lot on here but then made aware of the fact the RFL have held back paying amateur clubs from monies not even generated by them tells its whole story

Now had 2 sources say that Bulls general Manger is history, and one saying he's not. Situation normal then at our club !

As for the pensions stuff, the facts are that CB has sent an email/letter update to players acknowledging (and we paraphrase) the pension cock up and saying that he is 'hopeful' that the outstanding monies/ contributions can be paid by Friday 8 November. Two things in that regard - i) 'hopeful' is hardly a promise. We were hopeful that we'd back in SL by now. We are not. Far from it, and ii) CB is acting as though he now owns the club. Unless somebody can prove otherwise he does not. 'He' and his team possibly along with what the forum refer to as a 'puppet master', are still trying to work out whether the debt is £0.5M, £1M, or higher. Who'd buy on that basis ???

Finally if you think AC is history, you may wish to think again.

Plus it would be a bit embarrassing revealing your 'sources' as Twitter where all your supposed insider information has been posted over last 24hrs by various people.

Think it was same journo who wrote that article who mentioned the 3 figure in an earlier Tweet. Suspect he has to stick to facts a bit more in official articles and has more license to speculate in Tweets.

'Paul's list of three' I just penned that list on a whim whilst chomping down my lunch.
