You would have thought although I no longer take things for granted.

You've got to assume that the RFL have made the purchase of Odsal available to prospective new owners. This should have been considered last time to ensure we got some quality bidders.

Who cares if Roberts has thoughts of moving Park Avenue into Odsal? Don't we need more people using the stadium than the Bulls?

This article gives a bit more background on him: http://www.yorkshirepost.co.uk/news/dal ... -1-7072308

According to that, he is worth $8billion. That's billions, not millions

Even Caisley would struggle to burn through that in a hurry...

Exactly right. Ground sharing has been talked about for as long as I can remember with various different clubs/sports. Every owner says the same thing about wanting the stadium to be used more than just for Bulls matchdays. If Avenue were to move in, it would go some way towards that. Sure they may not have a massive fan base, but it's still extra revenue and shared costs.

That's not even starting on potential for cross over. I remember days when you used to get in for half price at Horsfall if you had a Bulls season ticket. Bring some benefit in for Bulls fans who may want to watch Avenue (and vice versa) and both clubs may just end up with a few more fans too.

I don't see Avenue moving in to Odsal as a bad thing at all, providing both clubs manage to get along without conflict and providing one club doesn't get neglected in favour of the other too much.

Nobody said they had an issue with BPA moving to Odsal? I merely ask if he has any interest in the Bulls or if BPA and their stadium are his main concern? He might be minted be if he has no interest in spending any of it on the Bulls then it might be sn issue. I have no idea but everything I've read about him is about BPA and their need for a home.

I get where your concern is coming from, but I'm sure there are plenty of examples in the past of people not interested in the slightest in the club they purchase, but then suddenly becoming interested. Marc Green, for all his faults, became very interested in the fortunes of Bradford Bulls when he bought the club, having previously not given a monkeys. I would think when you invest some money into a business, you automatically become interested in that business being successful. To what degree? We won't know unless it happens. But I find it hard to believe someone like Roberts would buy the Bulls only to get his much smaller club (albeit in a bigger sport) a new home.

I'm sure that is correct. I'm just asking questions that I hope the administrator and RFL are also asking.

There was an interview with Roberts when he first took over BPA. He took it over as he wanted to give something back to the community he grew up in. IF he were to take over the Bulls, i'm sure he would use his money to help the fortunes of both clubs. Not to the detriment of the other. As Hamster said, both clubs being successful could and should benefit each other.

IF (and it's still a big IF) he does take over us, i don't believe he will throw a millions upon millions at us, create a super stadium and sign Johnathan Thurston on a marquee signing. But it should stabilse the club and improve the foundations for us to build upon.

I'm awaiting for news that Richard Lamb is the new chairman with Mick Gledhill as the fans representative...

WHAT?!?!

In that case, I retract everything I said and switch my support over to Richard Lamb :EH:

It's nice that we are hearing about a few options this time.

If there is one thing that I've learnt over the last 3 administrations is not to take things on face value. We hear all the right things being said but they ultimately turn to rat poop. As long as there is some money somewhere in the background then that must set us on a sturdier course.

It is, but like numerous other people, I'm still fully expecting that all these good options being spoken about come to nothing and we end up either another cowboy without a penny to spend, or Marc Green gets it back again. With the last few years as a Bulls fan, it's hard to be anything but pessimistic sometimes.
