Whereas the motives of the majority of Bulls fans in wanting millions upon millions of taxpayers money for a new stadium to "bail them out" is virtuous?

Someone put an eloquent reply together and submit it to the T&A, if they refuse to publish it then you might have grounds to grumble about "agendas".

£1.2m for a feasibility study - I wonder who this gets paid to? Somebody at least is getting some benefit out of this whole sorry saga?

Silly question, son.

You meant to say it's at least another year before they decide its a no-go, and that they now need to commission a further feasibility study to determine whether it is feasible to commission a full-scale feasibility study into the possibility of commissioning a formal feasibility study.

Our prospective Conservative Parliamentary candidate for BD6 (can't remember his name) told me on Saturday that the council will today (Wednesday)at a meeting decide on which scheme to progress with, with the monies that are in place. He was adamant that a decision would be made today. I presume a feasibility study will still have to take place as any alternative scheme to OSV will not have been gone into in as much detail.
My gut feeling, along with many other Bulls friends is still that it wont happen.

they obviously dont keep prospective Conservative Parliamentary candidates as well informed as council members as the executive meeting took place yesterday at 1400.

Re: Odsal Sporting Village : Wed Apr 07, 2010 7:29 pm
Given the recent stories about premier league wanting to ban dual use of stadia, and assuming it filters down leagues as premier league rules tend to. would be interesting to hear the views of the city supporters trust chairman on his proposed groundshare. Would he be happy to place a ceiling on how far city could be promoted up the league tables, or would he be campaigning a few years down the track for bulls to be kicked out so his team can go up a division.

doubt this dual use ban will go through but if it does it will kill off any talk of a groundshare at either vp or odsal.

Well that's KC, Galpharm, DW and OT fooked, then, along with very numerous rugby and girlyball clubs. Which is of course why it can't happen unless the football authorities can make up the loss of income to the already almost universally insolvent clubs. Which would be never, then.

Galpharm would be fine. Terriers won't be making the Premier League any time this century.

I can't see it going through either though.

If it did, I don't think Mr. Whelan would give a second thought to kicking Wigan Warriors out now though (considering the debacle of the playoff game in 2008).
