The betting odds have now started to come out, and I have laid some money down on Betfair though similar odds are availablewith totesport, who have the Bulls at 12/1 to win.
As some will know, I go to every game thinking we are going to win, but however optimistic or pessimistic you may be, you can't argue that there will only be 17 players from each team coming out of the tunnel. And in my experience, odds of 12/1 in a 2 horse race are rather generous for a team that just beat Leeds.
As is Stan James' offer of Even money with 24 points start.

Is it any good for a team that just lost to Wakefield and were humiliated at home by lowly Warrington?
Yes. Oh, yes. Yes, it is.

It is just that fact that someone could read this, and not know anything about rugby league.and see your point and think, Flippin' 'eck, This side just beat Leeds, they must be pretty ok, when actually the opposite is a lot closer to the truth.
No, they could read your poisonous, anti-Bulls crap and (due to endless repetition adfucckinginfinitum they might misguidedly believe you had some sort of point.

I know the point that he is making, and, if it was on the back of a good win v Leeds and a run of decent form it would be very good odds indeed. However, it is not.
I think it fscking was, actually

12/1 would be good odds if the horses were of similar stature. However, not so much if the two horses included one impressive thoroughbred and one Blackpool donkey.
"Blackpool donkeys", eh?
How sick to the pit of your stomach you must be!
Check my pre-game sig, and eat dirt, you ignorant moron. Never speak to me again.

You misunderstand. The bookies are the ones that make these odds, and they are the ones that take the form into account.
Whereas my point is, form was (by definition) irrelevant in those cases where a big outsider causes a major upset, as they regularly do!
The point is, self-evidently, the past or even recent form isn't going to help you much to predict an upset. But such upsets do regularly happen!
I was using "two horse race" as a cliche and not specifically referring to horses. But there are many similarites, though. SL teams, like horses, do not tend to be entered to compete in events which it is impossible for them to win.
And I'd say it is much easier to get an upset in a team game, such as RL, than in a one-on-one. Not that the latter don't happen, mind you. Anyone remember any of these?

Mate.. I'm not going to attempt to argue.
Beat Saints at Knowsley Road, seriously the best league game i've seen given the circumstances and such.
I rode over the mountains to Huddersfield. A wilder people I never saw in England. The men, women and children filled the streets and seemed just ready to devour us. John Wesley June 1757
Just taken a look on Betfair and odds are currently 16/1 for a Bulls win - Like FA I'm also an eternal optimist and it's payday so I can afford to lose a small wager - got to be worth a punt.
That's put a smile on my face!
