Not heard ‘One Game Willie Tonga’s’ name for some time. What a rich tapestry he had at the Bulls.

Remember his debut haha. Think he touched the ball twice :) On another note it’s a bit bad that we’ve had the Number 44 worn by 5 different players since 2016!

I am worried with these and the other signings, even all the loan signings, it feels like chit or bust to me to get back to Superleague, i dont think for a minute MD is making these decisions either... if it fails its all over.

Maybe we just saw an opportunity to strengthen the squad a little? Performance matters now (retrospectively) so it makes sense that we'd be trying to finish as high up the table as we can. I don't think it necessarily means poop or bust. There hasn't been so much as a sniff of financial mis-management at Bradford under Nigel Wood, despite what many think of him.

It does make me a laugh, if we don’t sign players we’ve no ambition, if we sign people to continuously improve our chances it’s wrong. Where does it say anywhere MD has no involvement in this decision?

It’s not about signing players it’s about signing the right ones. Segeyaro has done nothing since 2019 (when he played 13 times for Brisbane). So at 29 no-one really wants him except Lezignan.

Since then he’s been found guilty of drink driving. Then in 2019 he was found guilty of using banned substances, with his ban being backdated from 2021. Not to mention all the other things he’s done throughout his career. We bring in Lawrence and Walker etc as Dunning says to change the culture to a positive one then look at bringing in Segeyaro? Madness. From Dally M Hooker in 2014 to scraping around the French league before he’s 33. After his poor do at Leeds (leaving because he’s homesick?), we should not be looking at him.

Hi All. It occurs to Bongser that midway through last season (in fairness partway rather than midway) Leigh signed a then 35 year old from (oh!) Lezignan. His name was (and still is) Kris Inu. He ripped it up in The Championship with 25 tries, 154 goals and a points total for the season of 408!!

Leigh, later that season, also signed a proven rum 'un in Blake Ferguson who weighed in with 21 tries and did endless carries for the pack.

The point is; give the b00gah a chance before writing him off.

All the best as usual,

Bongser

I’ll give him a chance if he comes I’m just airing my opinions on the recruitment when at the start of the year we were going for professional players like Lawrence. Now all of sudden we are going away from that with Segeyaro. As I said before, very happy of Baitieri comes!

I'm not worried about the money situation to be fair (Woody is apparently having one holiday per month in his 60th year so seems he's found a few bob down the side of the sofa?)

I am more worried that going for JS means we're sticking with Lilley/Patton in the halves and that Holmes may be carrying a decent knock.

I do love a conspiracy thoery. To put this one to rest, the Segayaro deal was done a few weeks ago. Before Holmes got injured.
