Yup. The only "highlight" of this evening was listening to Gladys dig himself deeper and deeper into a hole after saying that someone had put a big prick in Bradford's balloon.

Can't see anything other than two points for Barrow on Sunday.

Another abysmal week in the life of being a Bradford Bulls supporter. I said earlier in the week that the future looks bleak and I stand by that comment. Feel sorry for the hard working and well intentioned volunteers but this ship is sinking fast now. Crying shame.

I nearly paid a tenner for premier sports to give the new coach a chance.

If the players aren’t prepared to give him a chance, that says it all about the appointment.

The biggest problem is that we all know the board needs to go, but nobody else would touch this club now.

Hate to be a conspiracy theory nut, but Wood’s meddling with the ownership previously might have prevented our last chance of getting someone with funds, or at the very least someone vaguely competent.

As red said on the other thread, the club is on its way out.

My 2 penneth for what its worth.

We have zero attacking threat from fullback. In todays game your number 1 needs to be a ball player. A 3rd half back. Kear at FB offers nothing. Ive banged on about it since pre season to anyone that would listen that we needed a fullback.

Foggy just doesnt cut it. Iknow people love hime for his effort, and dont get me wrong, he does at least try, but effort will only get u so far. Hes just not good enough.

Murphy in the centre does not work!

We must have the slowest half back combo in the league. Neither offer a running threat. At least patten can create. Lilley can go for me hes garbage.

The middles as we all know are to fat, slow with zero mobility. Walker being in tbe condition he is is a pi55 take to eveyone of his team mates that turn up in some short of shape.
Him and Crossley need to go. Balwinson is ok as a squad player. Maybe 5th or 6th choice that can drop in for the odd week here and there over the course of the season but isnt good enough to be in the 17 EVERY week.
Dunno whats happened to Scurr this year, not a patch on the player he was last season.

Back row is where we have the most stength in depth but everyone is crocked. But Kibula isnt a second rower! Hes a middle. Hes got the mobility and turning circle of the QE2. Massivly exposed defending on an edge. Some tough decisions to be made on who to retain and who to let go in the back row based on their injury records.

This one might be controversial but i dont think Hallas has done much since his return either. 2 many missed tackles, flying out of the line trying to put a shot on and missing. Again at least his effort it there.

This sqad that JK put together just doesnt cut it. Dont forget he tried to tell us all at the start of the year that we were going to be contenders! What an insult to our intelligence.

Huge changes needed, i just wish i had a magic wand or a euro millions win!

(Ill go get my tin hat!!)

Dunning has the authority now. He needs to use it. Video review will show those that had zero effort, the individuals that didn’t show up. Drop them all. Dip into the academy and reserves and find some desire to start with.
That was 2 fingers up to the new coach, the fans and the club. We don’t need them.

Re: Newcastle (A) : Sat Jul 09, 2022 1:10 pm
An easy one is a straight swap, Rhys Evans for Murphy. Evans is by far and away our best defensive centre.
FB is tricky. Kear is defensively ok, but slow. Ok in 1/1 tackles. Hall is defensively poor. Burton is probably our next option for FB but is injured. That leaves Flanagan Jnr. Who is rapid, and a threat, but is 17. And him & his dad couldn’t play in the same team as if anyone went high on him, Flanagan snr would cop a massive ban attacking the opponent.
Props are a nightmare, I’ll think about it

Agree with all of that. Particularly Hallas. His discipline with and without the ball was shocking. Dunning made a big call in dropping Crossley when interim coach, be interesting if he makes a similar call with the likes of Hallas now he's permanent.

But even with all the above changes, the underlying problem was the attitude and complete lack of leadership on the field. Newcastle were emotional and it was a big occasion for them. We should have come out, biting on the gum shield and tried to take the sting out of the occasion in the opening minutes. First minute Newcastle walk straight through DFJ. We somehow managed to get back in the game with 5 mins left. Our attitude should have been to keep them out all all costs. Not only did we concede once but TWICE!! And then on the first set of the second half.

Dunning will get the flack but these players have churned out this garbage before under Kear. As another poster said, Dunning now has the power to make the appropriate changes.

Does anyone know what allegations were made that resulted in the need for this statement? Thought I'd read all comments on official club pages and don't recall anything other than Nige being a bit rubbish as chairman, Seems a bit much just for that.
