He went on to ref in the NRL and then presumably retired there. Although it may well be true that James Lowes tracked him down and 'retired' him personally. If you look at Jimmy Lowes Sydney holiday home on google earth it does have a very bumpy patio.

For the avoidance of doubt, the AUP expressly allows moderators to make outlandish claims of murder under 2.19 (Voluntary tackle like threads) which encourage any thread that may replicate the JVT thread to grow massively as quickly as possible.

He came to Oz a fair while back and reffed in the NRL and retired here, I read somewhere he is now part of the NRL Referee selection committee this year!

Yeah, I hadn't heard about him since he retired, though I was up to speed on his career up to that point. I have to say the 'fact' that he's retired as speed bump (almost) under Jimmy's patio seems, well, sort of apt to be honest.
