Gibson has a torn calf and doesn't sound like he will be back fit any time soon. I saw on social media the other day that Hitchcox has started training again so hopefully he isn't a million miles away

As others have said above, Featherstone have hit form lately and coupled with the fact that Chisolm is still in his honeymoon period and playing against his old club, i expect him to run the show for them. If we play as well as we did against Leeds then i think we have a chance of taking the 2 points but i'm going with a Featherstone win by 10.

Chisholm is very much plum in the middle of the "Wow, just WOW, why isn't he playing in superleague" phase. We know what happens next.

No real reason to think we'll be thumped this weekend, apart from the distraction of the cup match of course. We've been 'well beaten' but not exactly 'thumped by anyone so far, so no real reason to think we will be by Fev, though I confess they are playing well at the moment. Like losing runs, winning ones also come to an end though. It's a tough old league is this though and no-one is going to have it all their own way.

Well I’m going and looking forward to the game. I think the fear of a drubbing is down to what we know an in form Chisholm can potentially do behind a pack that’s going forward. However we’ll be going into this under no illusions and will know Chisholm’s strengths and weaknesses inside out. I expect he’ll be pretty keyed up so it’ll be interesting to see how we deal with him.

Chisholm's 'off the cuff' play is brilliant when it comes off but dire when it doesn't. It can go either way. We can assume he's still in a 'trying to impress mode' but even that can go awry when you maybe try too hard, as you might when playing against your old mates.

:WALL: What does this even mean?!?!?! What is this 'off the cuff' play everyone keeps referring to?

Do you mean taking the defensive line on from time to time? Throwing cutout passes? These are things a halfback IS SUPPOSED TO DO. It's what our current halfbacks ARE NOT DOING, which is why our attacking play is so dire.

My god I'm tearing my hair out reading some of the comments posted on here.

Only an 18 man squad announced. Grant the only winger.
Is this another balls us by our social media team or is there a player announcement coming later on today.
Its been mentioned on another thread Joe Brown has re signed??

Off the cuff doesn't mean any of those things. It means playing it as you see it regardless of what the call was or what the gameplan is. That's great when it works but if you're on a different wavelength to everyone else or do it all the time you aren't playing as a team.

So what, Dane did this constantly then did he? To such an extent that JK effectively booted him out of the club?

John Kear made a huge call and he needs to prove he made the right one in the long run. He has a long way to go before I'm convinced, and I still don't think Lilley will ever come good.
