Regardless of the rumours, it was obvious that EOC always had aspirations of returning to a SL club. It came sooner than expected and left us in a bit of hole before Nobby stepped in. There were a few logistical factors that probably contributed to his early exit (part time team, training in the evenings, living in Lancashire, young family etc).
