It should be said though that plenty of our knowledgeable 'fans' had a go at the immortal, legendary Keef during his career for having "no pace" and not being good enough in attack, allegedly poor under the high bomb, etc.
:D

Very few Bradford fans. A common misconception amongst other supporters but I'd say Mumby was just about the most highly regarded Northern player by our fans that I can remember.

I won £130 on Platt scoring the first try in Cardiff MM (07).

I remember at the time thinking he was great, and not just because of the money either, he did seem like a great buy.

He was and is a great buy. The trouble is, due to a handful of well-publicised decisions which have led to tries, not all of which were "fault" on his part, he will now forever be a target for the boo-boys, even if he scores ten tries a game and never concedes one for the rest of his career with us.

I think one thing about Platt is he got off to a fantastic start at Bradford and then never hit the same run of form again. Inconsistent since and at full back a lot of your mistakes lead to tries and end up being highlighted. Now he's the fall guy highlighting his good plays doesn't happen (e.g. his well timed run and pass for Menzies try on Sunday hasn't been well noted).
