As for Platt. He is sometimes the scapegoat but he is not helping him self.

He seem to have lost all confidence now. He seems nervous of catching the ball, prefers to offload to the wingers rather than than be brave and take it back himself and has lost the ability to tackle.

His confidence wont be helped by significant sections of his own supporters "cheering" when he catches the ball. We're all waiting for the next mistake, and he knows we're all waiting for the next mistake and for the jeers to rain down off the terrace, and that cant be easy. But he needs to ignore that as a professional, and focus on playing error free for as long as possible to take the attention away. On the plus side he has tried to support the ball carrier by running through the lines plenty of times in the first two games but the ball was never released for various reasons.

Hardly surprising you get a self-fulfilling prophecy, given the torrent of abuse directed at him by parts of the home "support", and orchestrated by one or two with their own agendas?

Couldn't agree more. TBH it's pathetic. At the two home games so far you could hear a sort collective intake of breath when the ball gets kicked over and shouts like "go on platt drop it" when he hasn't (except for probably going into touch in the first match) put a foot wrong really.

Going to watch a Rugby match should be a laugh and something you look forward to after the rigours of the working week but I think some people have startted to take it way too seriously both at the game and on here but I guess that's for another thread.

Spot on - it annoyed me at both games. I'd like to make a prediction that it wont happen as much (at all?) away at Wigan on Sat. This seems to be far more prevailent with the home support for some reason.

I really think Platt will come on for you lot, i think the fact is that he isnt or may never be as highly rated as your previous full backs but they were already highly experienced, i mean stuart spruce and withers they were great probably the best full backs of their time.
Platt is still only young and as you seen when he first come to you his potential was massive his confidence was running high but as taken a few knocks with his confidence not just on the pitch but off it as well with his driving ban and 2 court apperances for assault and criminal damages hopefully he will put his life back on track and get sorted to become a bulls legend

With spelling all that lot out, when there was no need for it, you'll have trouble convincing people you are not just making mischief.

Brett Ferres has been looking quite good for Cas lately.

I can accept failure, but I can't accept not trying.
