How will the 29 Fare? You Guess..... : Fri Nov 25, 2011 9:39 pm
Bit of fun - quick sentence predicting the fortunes of each Bulls player in the upcoming season. At the end of the season we look back and laugh/cry/curse/be branded as a witch:1 Brett Kearney - Will start out like a world beater but will be injured by week 10 - we'll fade at this point and he'll come back just too late.
Adrian Purtell - Will be immense all season and top try scorer for Bulls. I'm telling ya.
Keith Lulia - Will start slowly but will be firing towards end of season.
Chev Walker - Two games - injured. Back for last two games.
Elliot Kear - Will struggle at first but will then be fantastic - especially if on Purtell's side.
Ben Jeffries - Will start first 3 games, then will be phased out of starting 13 then squad.
Luke Gale - Will struggle for first 5 games - Bullsforlife (or whatever he's called) will want his contract ended. Will then grow into role and will look like the legendary Deacon replacement by game 15.
Nick Scruton - 3 games then injured for 3, 3 games then injured for 3, 1 game then injured for 10......
Heath L'Estrange - Brilliant, brilliant, brilliant all season.
Craig Kopczak - Will be rated as best prop in country by end of season.
Olivier Elima - Solid but unspectacular all season except for two games when he will be like a raging bull taking everything in a 20 metre radius out - Leeds home and Wigan home.
Elliott Whitehead - Will be able to play second row all season. Hooray!
Jamie Langley - Same as last 6 seasons - brilliant, injured, back for a game and slightly less brilliant, injured, and so on and so on.
Matt Diskin - Will look dull in the brilliant light that is L'Estrange but will do a competent job. Will be announced he will leave for ......Wakefield (why not?) at the end of the season.
Bryn Hargreaves - will plod along again.
Manase Manuokafoa - Based on his highlights video will use his trademark "passing just before being tackled" move to cause havoc in SL. If he uses his other superpower "tackling players with aid of teammates" who knows what could happen?
Ian Sibbit - will plod along again.
Shaun Ainscough - with a good centre will be second highest tryscorer for Bulls.
Tom Olbison - will make second row spot his own.
James Donaldson - Needs to step up big time. Hope he does but fear he won't.
Tom Burgess - Will be "The Best Prop In Super League" until June. Then South Sydney will sign him and, like Sam, will do bugger all for the rest of his last season.
Jarrod Sammut - God knows..... Will be number one stand off after 5 games.
Danny Addy - will be constantly played out of position when everyone is injured. Even when Ainscough ends up playing Loose.
Jason Crookes - can't see him doing much to be honest.
Adam O'Brien - I like him but won't get a sniff if Heath and Disko stay fit. And that's not going to happen.....
John Bateman - Dripfed into the side until last 5 games.
Kyle Briggs - Not many games, will sign for Wakefield halfway through season.
Paul Sykes - Not many games, will sign for Widnes halfway through season.
Michael Platt Not many games, will sign for Salford halfway through season.
