I think the Ox is a great player, tough as old boots, skillful etc, but a large offer for someone who will be nearly 32 when the new season starts... I'm not sure. Still I think I said the same about Beaver and was happily proven wrong, and given Manly are our feeder club, I expect it's only a matter of time before we get Matai and Watmough as well!

It is an interesting strategy when you think about it, gradually recruit the 2008 NRL GF team that were the last lot to do Leeds over in a recent final. I think (a la Fielden) Burrow lost some of his edge when flattened by Watmough, don't think he's cut it intimidation wise ever since

Awful Orford: As harsh as it is to state, poor old Matt Orford struggled this season. The 2008 Dally M medal winner just could not find the form that took his side to a premiership last season. He was guilty of running sideways, coming up with poor options on the last tackle and throwing poor passes which was never more evident than in the Sea Eagles’ final loss of the season against the Storm where he went missing in action. In his defence, he was struggling with injuries for most of the season. http://www.leagueunlimited.com/article.php?newsid=18639 Dally M just over a year ago... shocker last by all accounts (though I seem to remember him doing some decent stuff and he couldn't have been all that bad given the form Manly exhibited to pick themselves off the bottom of the table and fall just shy of the top four).
