Just a quick bump for SB, so he can find and add in Scruton's 3 year deal.
However, looking at the squad, we still have 12 players OCC at the end of the year.
At the moment, I'd say Kearney and L'Estrange need tying down to new deals, and it'd be sensible to get Herbert on an extention, given the lack of half backs both here and in Oz. Also, as the club's top point scorer this season I think we should keep Ah Van as well, plus he's another player that can fill in at different positions in the backs. So, that I believe is our overseas lot taken care of. On to the fed and home grown lot.
Platt has matured into a good solid centre so I think he deserves a 1 or 2 year deal.
Ainscough is also settling in, he's stated himself that he wants stability given his young family, and is one of our top scorers, so I don't see a reason he shouldn't get an extention.
Royston offers a great deal and can cover most of the back line positions well, so I'd like to see him get a new deal.
Walker has looked good for us in the games he's played. Another 12 month deal for him would be a good move.
Raynor, solid if not spectacular. Given his age, if he was to stay I'd prefer he was only offered a 12 month deal, but given Ah Van is probably best on the wing rather than centre, there's a question mark over whether Raynor would be happy to be a back up player.
Halley, coming back of a serious injury, as well as the players in his best positions being pretty unshiftable unless they have a serious drop in form, it's going to be hard for Halley to break into the side this year I feel. His only saving grace is his home grown status and his ability to play more than one role in the backs. This may see him be offered a 12 month deal, but I'd not be surprised to see him leave at the end of the year.
Olbison, another one of the Bulls up and coming forwards. Given his age and home grown status, I'd like to see him tied down to a long deal.
Finnigan, again as a young lad with promise, i'd like him to be given a long deal. Similar squad situation to Halley, however his dual reg with Sheffield will hopefully see him come on leaps and bounds in terms of his development.
