I'm struggling to see why he picked Wakey to finish above us to be honest. Signed a load of average players and a below average coach to coach them. Guess we'll see how things pan out in the next few months.

Catalans have just smashed Wakey 46-10 tonight. Not sure if that is because Wakey are merde or Catalans are running hot. We're going to have our work cut out for us in week 1 I think!

Got to wonder if theres a bit of politics clouding nobbys judgement. Given caisleys comments last year and nobbys association with him.

The phrase politically correct is in itself politcally incorrect so should be rephrased politically stupid!

If you like old type radio comedy/ dramas etc listen to //pumpkinfm.com/

Statistically speaking you have a better chance of getting dead the older you get!

Thank god only when you find a religion that passes the truth test!

It isn't politics it's Nobby making sure Langers posts it up on the dressing room wall. A bit of backhanded motivation methinks!

I've suspected for some time, and certainly since his outspoken -and I felt one-sided - interview comments (and maybe subsequent comments that could be his) that your man may be waiting in the wings in case/waiting for if/hoping for when/wondering if it all goes tìts-up (take your pick). So he could then seek to regain control and bring his mate Nobby back in from the cold.

Nothing to back this up beyond interpreting what we have read and bits I pick up, so it is purely an opinion. But I must admit Nobby's comments did make me think again along those lines.

That said, it does concern me how all the other 11 teams look to me to have either strengthened (especially London; and HKR are well rid of Justine IMO) or have not weakened enough to make me feel confident of beating them. So his prediction cannot be automatically dismissed IMO. Indeed, If we see more of the same as last season, with the "team" collapsing under pressure and appearing to be resigned to getting beaten, then I fear he will likely be proven right.

But I think we are all hoping that this year the team will come out fighting and be unrecognisable from the seemingly demoralised and injury-stricken lot we saw last season, are we not? And, if that proves to be the case, then we just need some better luck at last with injuries and the officials at Tragic Weekend and so on to give us every chance of doing considerably better.

I think with Nobby's track record and standing in the game you do have to take what he says seriously, even though with the full flush of pre-season optimism, I'm actually minded not to go along with it.

I would though, definitely go along with Blotto's view, despite his track record and standing in the game, ( soz) and hope, nay expect, that Langers will do his duty and pin said opinion on the dressing room wall and that the team push the words back down his throat.
