Anyone yet picked up on the report that Scully has had an operation on his "troublesome back", and looks set to be out for "an extended period"?

Why does the phrase "troublesome back" put me in mind of Jack Duckworth?

I know he inconsistent and a little injury prone himself but he did have some good games for us when he wasn't struggling with injuries. Not exactly an impact Prop but he would bring some added size to us in the short term, currently in France I believe.

Bryn Hargreaves. Isn't getting in the Saints side atm, one month loan would be good.

We'll certainly need someone if we get an injury or two. I can't see us getting anyone from a SL side as they'd probably be relcuctant to lend to us.

We'd need a "Rinaldi" type player - ie, someone probably out of contract and not a quota player. Unless of course Macca bites the bullet and throws in Crossley or one of the "RAB sponsored" Burgii

Agreed, if we're looking at props we have some in the U20s that are as good as any we're likely to get on loan.
